Love the grainy quality and the play of light and dark. I like how you establish a mood. It is an important quality or element of your work and distinguishes it.
Stickup - mood is important to me. what surfaces on the screen is so far removed from the original. i build images with a saw and hammer. it is not pretty by any means. with the black and white stuff i am stripping it down so just enough detail says to the viewer, this is a tree, a rock etc. i wan't these images soft with enough contrast and detail, but soft.
i have fought it in the past, this thing of robert, this distinguishing as you say. but both you and erin have seen it and i am learning to except it.
These, especially the top one, seem to be something out of a bad dream. Or maybe Brueghal.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day! :-)
Mysterious shapes and surfaces; very interesting to the eye. You could walk right in...and fall through the ice.
ReplyDeletethank you all for stopping by.
